To send messages using the WhatsApp Business platform, you need to have the following:
Meta Business Manager Account (BM: Business Manager Account)
WhatsApp Business Account
Phone number
If you meet the above requirements, you can start sending messages to customers through the WhatsApp Business platform.
Meta Business Manager Account (BM: Business Manager Account) is a management tool provided by Meta to manage business presence on Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
If you don't have a BM account, you can create one by visiting https://business.facebook.com/.
You need to have a Facebook account to create a BM account.
Recommendations:
Before creating a new BM account, you need to verify with all stakeholders if the company already has an existing BM account to avoid duplication.
Link all Facebook pages, Instagram pages, ad accounts, and WABA accounts to the same BM account to avoid information loss. This will also help increase the trust level of the WABA account and reduce the risk of banned.
WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) is used to manage phone numbers registered in the WhatsApp Business platform. When you use YCloud to contact your end users via WhatsApp, we will create and manage the WABA on your behalf.
Each WABA has its own ID.
You can create an unlimited number of WABA in your BM account, and each YCloud account can be associated with an unlimited number of WABA. However, the WABA itself cannot be used to send messages; you need to send and receive messages through the phone numbers in the WABA.
The phone number needs to be associated with the WhatsApp account (WABA) so that the account can send and receive messages.
The phone number is the sender of the WhatsApp messages you choose, and it is associated with the WABA.
Each phone number has its own display name, which is the brand name shown to users in WhatsApp.
A verified BM account can include up to 20 different phone numbers. This limit can be extended to 120 numbers upon request (requires submitting a ticket to the YCloud team). If the BM account is not verified, you can only associate two phone numbers, with a daily message limit of 250 messages.
To connect a phone number to a WABA account, the phone number must meet the following conditions:
You should be the owner of the phone number.
The phone number must include the country/region code, such as a landline or mobile number.
The phone number must be able to receive voice calls or SMS.
The phone number must not have been previously registered with WhatsApp (any type of account, including WhatsApp & WhatsApp Business).
If you want to use a phone number already registered on the WhatsApp App or WABA, please refer to our migration guide:
