# Phone Number Nickname Settings

YCloud supports setting different nicknames for each number, making it easier to allocate and manage personnel. This is particularly useful for companies where customer service or sales teams manage numbers separately, allowing administrators to better allocate and manage staff.

{% hint style="info" %}
The number nickname setting will only be displayed to the enterprises in the YCloud backend and will not be shown to customers. If you want to modify the display name for customers, please refer to the [display name settings](https://helpdocs.ycloud.com/help-center/whatsapp-ji-chu/shou-ji-hao-ma#display-name).
{% endhint %}

## Steps

1. Log in to your YCloud account > WhatsApp account > Click the purple icon next to the account name.

2. Enter the nickname for the number, and click OK to save it. If you need to delete the nickname, remove it and click OK to save, and the number will revert to its original state without a nickname.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://helpdocs.ycloud.com/help-center/whatsapp-accounts-management/phone-number-management/phone-number-nickname-settings.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
