Connect TikTok-Ad-Account

This guide walks you through: configuring your TikTok advertising operations via YCloud and getting them up and running.

1 Connect your TikTok Ad Account

Before managing TikTok CTWA ads on the YCloud platform, you need to complete the authorization of your TikTok ad account so that YCloud can retrieve ad campaign data and perform event postback.

Steps:

• Log in to the YCloud dashboard → CTWA menu. Select Connect Ad Account.

To proceed, please:

1. Log in to your TikTok Ads account.

2. Confirm and agree to authorize.

Once authorization is successful, your TikTok ad account list will appear on the YCloud platform.

If this is your first time using it, it is recommended to select Setup. (If you have used it before, you may skip this step.)

Select Setup, where you need to confirm the authorized ad account and choose the WhatsApp number you want to use for TikTok ad delivery.

• Click Submit. We will then create an Event Set (data set) corresponding to the number for your ad account. For more details about Event Sets, see below.

1. If you cannot find the phone number you need, go to Menu → WhatsApp Account → bind your WhatsApp Business number.

2. Under the same ad account, each WhatsApp number can only have one Event Set. If your number shows as "used", it means an Event Set has already been created for that number — no need to create another one.

2 Event Set：Configuration

2.1 What Is an Event Set For?

In the TikTok advertising ecosystem, an Event Set functions like a data hub, aggregating conversion data reported from various sources (including YCloud's CAPI).

• Data Isolation: Ensures data accuracy for each ad account.

• Optimization Objective: The ad platform relies on data in the Event Set to learn and optimize ad delivery for the best conversion performance.

2.2 Configuration of Event Set

To Add an Event Set:

1. Conditions:

   • The TikTok ads account must be authorized.

   • At least one authorized account is linked to a YCloud WhatsApp number.

2. Action:

   • Click "Add".

Choose the ad account and WhatsApp number to create the event set.

Note:

If a WhatsApp number shows as "used," it has already been used to create an event set and cannot be used again.

2.3 Event Set Creation for TikTok Advertising

1. When setting up a campaign or ad group in TikTok's ad platform, you need to select an event set.

Per TikTok's official recommendation:

It is suggested to create a separate Event Set for each WhatsApp Business number to facilitate data differentiation and reporting.

To view reported third-party events in TikTok, go to the ad manager, access event manage, and select data source to find the corresponding CTM ID or event name.
