This article will show you how to set up and use TikTok ads (redirecting from TikTok to WhatsApp) with ycloud.
1 Connect your Tiktok Ad Account
To manage TikTok CTWA ads on the YCloud platform, first authorize your TikTok ad account. This allows YCloud to access your ad data and manage events.
Steps:
Log in to YCloud, switch to TikTok,
and select connect ad account.
click on - [ Tiktok Ad Accounts]- [Add Tiktok Account]。
To proceed, please:
Log in to your TikTok Ads account.
Confirm and agree to authorize.
After successful authorization, your TikTok Ads account list will appear under CTWA-tiktok menu.
2 Event Set：Configuration and Uses
2.1 Use of Event Set in TikTok Advertising
Event Set acts like a data hub, collecting conversion data from various sources, including ycloud's CAPI.
Data Isolation: Ensures the accuracy of data for each ad account.
Optimization Goal: Helps the ad platform learn and optimize to achieve the best conversion outcomes.
2.2 Configuration of Event Set
after authorizing the TikTok ad account to see the event set menu under integration-tiktok ads.
To Add an Event Set:
Conditions:
The TikTok ads account must be authorized.
At least one authorized account is linked to a YCloud WhatsApp number.
Action:
Click "Add".
Choose the ad account and WhatsApp number to create the event set.
2.3 Event Set Creation for TikTok Advertising
When setting up a campaign or ad group in TikTok's ad platform, you need to select an event set.
To view reported third-party events in TikTok, go to the ad manager, access event manage, and select data source to find the corresponding CTM ID or event name.
Once you configure the event set, you can check TikTok's CTWA ads through YCloud menu - CTWA - TikTok.
3 Track Event Setup
To optimize ad performance, ycloud needs to send user's key actions on WhatsApp to TikTok, defined as Track Events.
TikTok requires the following events:
Conversation Event: Triggered whenever a WhatsApp conversation occurs.
Low Funnel Event: Specific actions defined by TikTok that can be used to enhance ad targeting. Businesses can choose one or more to report.
3.1 Conversation Events
When someone clicks your TikTok ad and chats with your WhatsApp number, it's called a conversation event.
YCloud helps you track and report this process:
In the inbox, chat messages and contacts from TikTok ads will be labeled with "TikTok" and the related ad ID.
After the conversation, we send the interaction data to TikTok to help analyze ad performance.
3.2 Low Funnel Events
Low funnel events track deep conversion actions post-session, like payments, registrations, or appointments. They're mainly for optimizing goals like "lead collection" or "payment completion."
YCloud Menu - ctwa-tiktok: Review all tiktok ctwa ad data.
To report a low funnel event, find the corresponding : tiktok ad - track events.
click[+track new event]
event name ：类似备注， 随便填，仅用于内部管理
event type：选择这个上报行为的触发条件，详细说明
tiktok event：选择您要上报给tiktok的是哪一个低漏斗事件。
Event Name: Enter any notes for internal use only,like note.
Event Type: Select the trigger condition for this reporting action ， know more about this
TikTok Event: Choose the low-funnel event you want to report to TikTok.
4 Advertisement Data
4.1 Viewing Ad Data
YCloud provides access to TikTok ad data.
Navigate : YCloud Menu > CTWA > TikTok.
Note：You can only view data for one ad account at a time.
4.2 Viewing Conversion Details
To view specific ad Track Events details, select the desired ad from the list and click [View Leads/Track Events]. Data will automatically match the selected time frame, showing Leads or event details generated by the ad.
