# Connect Meta Ad Account

After completing the steps on this page, you can connect the Meta ad account you plan to use for delivery in YCloud.&#x20;

Only after the connection is successful can YCloud support later steps such as ad data viewing, conversion reporting, and performance analysis.

### Before You Start

Before you begin authorization, please confirm that the following conditions are met:

* You can log in to YCloud normally.
* The currently logged-in Meta account has admin permissions for the target Business Manager and ad account.
* You have confirmed which ad accounts need to be connected to YCloud this time.

### Step 1: Start Authorization in YCloud

1. Log in to YCloud and go to `CTWA`.
2. Click **Connect Ad Account (Meta Ads)**.

If you have already authorized at least one ad account, you can also go to `CTWA > Ad Account` and click **Connect Ad Account** to start a new authorization flow.

<figure><img src="https://4253554051-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F78HV6e8vN6mhwsbohgTK%2Fuploads%2FLsnU7GnK3BgmyfQJ5ziT%2Fctwa-ad%20account-list-initial.png?alt=media&#x26;token=2e82eefc-ccdd-4bf2-a400-f674ffee471c" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Step 2: Complete Authorization on Meta

#### 1. Log in to your Meta account

On the authorization page you are redirected to, log in with your Meta account.

<figure><img src="https://4253554051-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F78HV6e8vN6mhwsbohgTK%2Fuploads%2FDVaFuHgUUoKF8uo1Yuaj%2Fmeta%E5%B9%BF%E5%91%8A%E8%B4%A6%E5%8F%B7%E6%8E%88%E6%9D%83-0%EF%BC%9A%E7%99%BB%E9%99%86meta%E8%B4%A6%E5%8F%B7.png?alt=media&#x26;token=574d58d5-98d4-4483-8dbe-59992b6db55b" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### 2. Select a Business Manager

Select the Business Manager you want to use this time, then click Continue.

<figure><img src="https://4253554051-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F78HV6e8vN6mhwsbohgTK%2Fuploads%2Fk20ejr2aRQuD6Dy4KKWW%2Fmeta-ad%20account-oauth-1%20select%20bm.png?alt=media&#x26;token=9344f80d-39cb-4f18-921d-309dd5db8a56" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### 3. Select ad accounts and complete authorization

Under that Business Manager, select the ad accounts you want to authorize to YCloud. You can select multiple accounts as needed, then click Continue to complete authorization.

<figure><img src="https://4253554051-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F78HV6e8vN6mhwsbohgTK%2Fuploads%2FsXO3gt9483i2uVMLI2TX%2Fmeta-ad%20account-oauth3-select%20ad%20account(from%20the%20bm).png?alt=media&#x26;token=f09cff1b-9e71-4eba-9bfc-6bc55060d10b" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
If there are multiple ad accounts under the same Business Manager, we recommend that you:

* Select only the target ad accounts that need to be connected to YCloud this time.
* Do not uncheck ad accounts that are already selected by default.

If an ad account is already selected by default, it usually means that it has already been authorized to YCloud before. Only remove authorization if you are sure that this ad account will no longer be used later.
{% endhint %}

After authorization is complete, click **Got it** to return to YCloud.

### Step 3: Confirm the connection is successful

After you return to YCloud, the system will indicate that ad account authorization has been completed. You can view the list of authorized ad accounts on the `Ad Account` page.

<figure><img src="https://4253554051-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F78HV6e8vN6mhwsbohgTK%2Fuploads%2Fwbq64znOmPGRfpuMpsHN%2Fmeta%20ad%20account-connected%20successfully.png?alt=media&#x26;token=a3882068-e8e2-4e7b-8b90-388e14965b41" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

When the target ad account appears in the list, the connection is successful. Next, you can continue to create your ad and complete the remaining setup.

### FAQ

<details>

<summary>Q: Why can’t I find the Business Manager or ad account I want to authorize?</summary>

This is usually because the currently logged-in Meta account does not have management permissions for the corresponding assets.

Please check the following based on your situation:

If the ad account and your WhatsApp Business assets belong to the same Business Manager:

* Ask the administrator of that Business Manager to confirm that the current Meta account already has management permissions for both the relevant Business Manager and the ad account.

If the ad account and your WhatsApp Business assets do not belong to the same Business Manager:

* This commonly happens when the ad account is provided through an agency.
* You need to first confirm whether the Business Manager that holds the WhatsApp number and the Business Manager that holds the ad account have the correct asset authorization relationship.

You can handle it as follows:

1. Log in to the Business Manager that holds the WhatsApp assets and find its Business ID.

<figure><img src="https://4253554051-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F78HV6e8vN6mhwsbohgTK%2Fuploads%2Fq4pr8QW1LyImWd8Ln219%2Fmeta-bm-overview-1.png?alt=media&#x26;token=3c868dea-ae1e-4b93-8937-10c00b7d988d" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

2. Share that ID with the agency or the administrator of the Business Manager that owns the ad account.
3. Ask them to authorize the ad account to your Business Manager in their Meta Business Manager backend and grant **Full control**.

<figure><img src="https://4253554051-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F78HV6e8vN6mhwsbohgTK%2Fuploads%2F6Sw4tjO2r60hMh3ZSoTN%2Fmeta-bm-users%3Apartners-entrance-t1.png?alt=media&#x26;token=d97970f3-eb56-4ef1-8e0b-f37531212e61" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="https://4253554051-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F78HV6e8vN6mhwsbohgTK%2Fuploads%2FjgGjW2aUirWDOGWSN8t3%2Fmeta-bm-users%3Apartners-add%20permission-ad%20account-t1.png?alt=media&#x26;token=049452e0-6c10-477a-918c-8e06d6af72cb" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

4. After confirming that the current Meta account already has management permissions for your Business Manager, repeat the authorization steps on this page.

<details>

<summary>Q: Why does the system ask me to bind a WABA number first after I enter the CTWA page?</summary>

This is because Meta CTWA ads ultimately rely on a WhatsApp Business Number to receive user conversations.

If you have not yet connected and bound the corresponding WhatsApp Business Number in YCloud, please complete that step first before continuing with the ad setup flow.

<details>

<summary>Q: How do I remove YCloud’s authorization to access a Meta ad account?</summary>

This action must be completed in Meta Business Manager, not in YCloud.

Steps:

1. Log in to [Meta Business Settings](https://business.facebook.com/settings/).
2. In the left-side menu, go to `Users` > `System Users`.
3. Find the system user used by YCloud.
4. In the asset list on the right, locate the currently authorized ad account and remove it.

Please note:

* After removal, YCloud will no longer be able to access data from that ad account.
* If you need to continue using that ad account later, you will need to complete the authorization flow again.
